The ides of September saw Kerala bringing focus on the 35th National Games to be held in 2010. The website of the festival was launched at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium on 16th September, ’09 by Honourable Minister for Civil Supplies Shri. C. Divakaran.

In his presidential address Honourable Minister for Law, Sports and Youth Affairs said that the State Government was making all efforts to make the event a big success. However, since the 34th National Games at Jarkhand has not yet been held there exists the possibility of the 35th event getting a little bit delayed.
